Not sure where to start?

01

Travel nurse housing

For 13-week contracts and assignments on short notice

13-week contracts move fast, and the housing search starts the same day you accept. Whether you're a travel nurse, medical resident, or relocating for a new position, monthly rentals let you find stays near hospitals and healthcare hubs, with leases that match your timeline.

Off-base military housing

For PCS moves, TDY, and the wait for base housing

Base housing availability rarely lines up with moving timelines, while PCS and TDY orders have a way of shifting after you've already started planning. Monthly rentals give military families stability, comfort, and flexibility while searching for their long-term home.

Corporate housing

For relocations and extended work assignments

A relocation or a temporary assignment rarely comes with an exact 12-month timeline. Monthly rentals make it possible to set up in a furnished home for a month, three months, or longer.

Graduate student housing

Stays that line up with your semester

Semesters, internships, and fellowships almost never match a standard 12-month lease. MatchBook offers furnished and unfurnished housing that matches your semesters, so you're not paying for an empty apartment while you're away on break.

Relocation housing

Settle in before you commit long-term

Moving to a new city doesn't mean you have to commit to an area sight unseen. A midterm stay buys you time to learn the area and test a commute before you decide where you actually want to live. A few months on the ground beats a year in a place that doesn't work for you.

Housing for families in transition

Space and stability while you're between homes

Selling a home, relocating temporarily for medical needs, or moving closer to family shouldn't mean feeling unsettled in a hotel or signing a long-term lease. Monthly rentals accommodate stays for the in-between, where you can have space and comfort for your family, while enjoying flexibility that actually works for your timeline.

The gap between a hotel and a year lease

Most rental platforms are built around two extremes: short vacation stays or long-term leases. That left people searching for something in-between with few good choices.

Those in-between renters are not rare. They can look like travel nurses on 13-week contracts, students searching for off-campus housing, military families moving to a new base, residents who just matched and are moving to a brand new city, or a family needing to relocate for ongoing medical treatment. These are everyday renters who have not had a place to search until now.

MatchBook was built for exactly this. Furnished and unfurnished homes in all 50 states, for stays from one month up to a year, with the tools to make applying, signing, and paying as straightforward as it should be.

What's true no matter why you're here

01
Every host and listing is vetted before it goes live.

MatchBook reviews each listing before it publishes, and verifies each host's identity before they can review applications. No more scam listings or sending a deposit to strangers you can't verify exist.

02
One application works everywhere.

Fill out the general application once, and use it to apply to any listing in minutes. No more $50 application fees per place.

03
Our fees are small and transparent.

Searching, messaging, and applying are free. When you book, there is one service fee: 3% for stays under six months, and 1.5% for stays of six months or longer.

04
The lease and the rent stay on platform.

Your host uploads their lease and you sign it electronically. Rent is paid through MatchBook on a schedule you and your host agree to. No more runaround for every new place you rent.

Questions people ask before they book

What counts as a midterm rental?

A midterm rental is a furnished or unfurnished home rented for anywhere from one month to under a year. It sits between a short-term stay, which is priced by the night, and a standard lease, which usually asks for a full year.

How much does MatchBook cost for renters?

Searching, messaging, and applying are free. Renters pay a service fee when they book: 3% for stays under six months, and 1.5% for stays of six months or longer. MatchBook Renter Verification is an optional $25 background check that's reusable, and replaces $50 application fees you see elsewhere.

What is MatchBook Renter Verification?

MatchBook Renter Verification, or MRV, is an optional $25 report covering your credit score range, eviction history, and criminal history. It stays valid for three months and attaches to as many applications as you want, so you are not paying a new application fee at every property. You can review it and resolve any issues before applying anywhere.

Are the listings and hosts verified?

Yes. MatchBook verifies each listing before it goes live, and verifies the identity of each host before they can review applications.

Can I rent unfurnished?

Yes. MatchBook lists both furnished and unfurnished homes.

Where does MatchBook have listings?

Hosts have listed properties in all 50 states.
